General Motors names WW Ocean Supplier of the Year

WW Ocean has been named a 2019 General Motors Supplier of the Year at the automotive giant’s 28th annual Supplier of the Year awards.

The virtual ceremony celebrated 116 of GM’s best suppliers from 15 countries for outstanding contributions to value, introducing innovation, or consistently exceeding expectations. This is the second year in succession that WW Ocean have been named a winner.

“We are extremely proud of our partnership with General Motors. This recognition is testament to our tireless work to provide exceptional service,” said WW Ocean’s senior manager Bryan McCausland. “This achievement was truly a team effort across all departments and around the world”.

WW Oceans and WW Solutions says they support GM’s vehicle supply chain on land and sea, providing both global ocean transportation as well as vehicle processing solutions in the US, Canada, Thailand and Mexico.

The Supplier of the Year award winners were chosen by a global team of GM purchasing, engineering, quality, manufacturing and logistics executives based on a wide range of performance criteria across product and global purchasing, manufacturing services, customer care, aftersales and logistics.

“Our suppliers play a key role in delivering the products, services and experiences our customers deserve – and these award-winning suppliers went above and beyond our expectations,” said Shilpan Amin, GM vice president, global purchasing and supply chain.
