Rhenus Singapore transported high-precision switchboards from Singapore to Melbourne, Australia. The project, undertaken for a multinational electric company, involved door-to-door service shipments comprising oversized and general cargoes.

The cargo’s massive size and high value, with the bulkiest item being 8.8x 1.8x X 2.5 metres and weighing 11 Tons, entailed extra careful handling by the team. Special low bed trailers were dispatched to convey the bare units from the customer’s factory to Rhenus’ warehouse for proper stuffing and lashing. The items were then shipped in open-top containers to Melbourne, wherein the final road freight was taken care of by Rhenus Australia.

Even amidst all the uncertainties of the Covid era, the successful execution of the project proves the expertise of Rhenus in handling complex projects. It opens the avenue for further cooperation with the customer in the future.
