Siam Pattana Maritime Co., Ltd. (SPM), an affiliated entity of Siam ECL and Eastern Car Liner (ECL), recently won an additional 200 million THB contract with M.C.S STEEL for structural steel transportation from Bangkok Port, Thailand to Chiba and Yokohama Port, Japan, starting June – December  2021. SPM has widened their trade routes with an expanded fleet of vessels and forecasted the delivery of 20 Shipments worth 300 Million for M.C.S STEEL by January 2022.  

The skyrocketed shipment rates since the beginning of 2021 critically affecting global businesses, including SPM’s partners. In these challenging times, SPM has put effort into understanding its customers’ pain points and offering them the best solutions for a win-win scenario for everyone. The company expanded their chartered vessel fleet thus reducing vessel renting rates empowering SPM to increase support to their business partners with increased and better monthly transportation services. SPM is also planning to buy one more vessel for their repertoire of fleets

SPM and Siam ECL are highly trustworthy operators for the project, as structural steel is a high value cargo which needs a specific expertise and must be able to operate with a full transparency.
