ZIM is going ahead with the 2nd Express service from China to Australia by splitting the CAX service into 2 loops.

The previous service, named China Australia Express (CAX), will change to offer 12-day transit time from Shanghai to Sydney – one of the fastest in the market – along with additional advantages and superb customer service. The new rotation will be:

Xiamen – Ningbo – Shanghai – Sydney – Melbourne – Brisbane.

The 2nd China-Australia service, C2A, planned to commence on 4th Dec., will have the following rotation:

Laemchabang – Hochiminh – Nansha – Yantian – Sydney – Melbourne – Brisbane – Laemchabang.

The new service will offer 11-day transit time from Yantian to Sydney for our growing E-commerce customers.

The service will deploy 6X2500 TEU vessels with extensive capacity and plugs for refrigerated cargo. A fleet of new, advanced reefer units fitted with the ZIMonitor system for constant monitoring and damage prevention will be available to customers on the new service.

Eli Glickman, ZIM’s President & CEO, added: “We are responding to market demands by rolling out the 2nd loop of our Australia express service in record time. I am sure this restructured service will provide a solution for our customers’ growing needs in this trade. We see great opportunity in the Australian trade and believe our unique Z Factor and innovative yet personal approach will be appreciated and valued by customers in this market.”
